Themis and Thread, a Certified member of the Green Business Network, is celebrating their five year anniversary.

For five years, Themis and Thread has been developing an ethical apparel line in Hector, New York. Green America awarded Themis and Thread a $5,000 prize for green business innovation in ethical apparel with the Summer 2016 People & Planet Award.

Designer and owner Jesse Junko Beardslee is throwing a Birthday Brunch to celebrate this milestone on Sunday, May 27th at Hector Handmade from 11-2. Enjoy fashion discounts from Themis and Thread’s organic cotton and upcycled line of clothing and accessories, along with complimentary “Brunch, Bubbles and Beauty.”

Come fresh-faced and sample all natural, locally made skin care from Sweet Pea’s Groceries, Akenehi and Sacred Seedlings. Their Beauty Bars will feature masks, cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. Silk Naturals makeup will be available to help your beauty shine after sampling, and Finger Lakes Photos Booth will have a “booth less” shoot to show off your sustainable look with the beautiful backdrop of the surrounding vineyard landscape.

For men’s style, there will be skin and beard care, as well as Themis and Thread’s vests and bow ties.

Snacks from The StoneCat, Glen Mountain Market, and Finger Lakes Wine Flour will be available along with other brunch treats; And everyone over 21 is welcomed to toast to Themis and Thread’s success with local wineries Rasta Ranch Vineyards, Hector Wine Company, Nine-Four Wines, and Leidenfrost Vineyards.
