Contestants will compete for a first prize investment of $50,000 for an existing business, and a separate $10,000 investment for the most innovative business idea.

A qualifying solution is any product, service or material that results in reduced plastic pollution. The solution must be measurable, scalable and be a viable business proposition.

Applications are open through March 10. Finalists and winners will be announced at the Think Beyond Plastic conference on June 13-14, 2013 in Berkeley, CA.
