  • Maximizes use of local, organic, and Fair Trade food (coffee, tea, beer, flowers, wine)
  • Uses local people to staff event and pays living wage
  • Maximizes use of non-disposable or 100% consumer recycled or fully compostable flatware, including reusable linen
  • Maximizes composting and recycling efforts throughout event, including delivery to a recycling or composting center post-event

Preferences

  • Assist clients in carbon offsetting for events
  • Venues close to public transportation or where majority of expected attendee live/work
  • Facilitate transportation such as ride sharing.
  • Giveaway items are selected with environmental/labor considerations
  • Location that employs union staff
  • Assist clients in optimizing the use of 100% post-consumer or tree-free paper for event
  • No water bottles
  • Vegetarian catering
  • Carpeting reused/donated
